About our Courses
Bunginderry Artist Camp is a place to create in the outback. We offer 4 day painting and photography workshops in the open blue skies and rich orange earth for everyone from beginners to advanced artists. The arid landscape will challenge, innovate and inspire you to new creative levels.

The course activities involve
- Expert, supportive and fun tutors – especially in exploring and creating in the environment
- 4 day workshop travelling to a new arid outback landscape each day to paint en plein air or capture on camera
- Options to work within the small group setting, yet in your own medium and interests
- Relaxed night time activities, tutorials, yarning or playing an instrument by the campfire
- Experience life on a working cattle & sheep property in the Channel Country
Included in the course fees are
- 5 nights accommodation
- Tuition from expert, supportive and fun tutors
- Healthy home style meals prepared by camp cook
The facilities available to you are
- Authentic shearers’ quarters guest accommodation with twin rooms – max 10 beds
- Single room and camping accommodation options
- The shearing shed that converts to a group studio workspace
- A fully equipped self-contained kitchen
- Shared bathroom in shearers’ quarters
- Additional amenities block with showers, toilets and laundry
With optional extras, such as
- Quilpie airport pick-up and return travel
- 4WD vehicle available for travel around Bunginderry Station
- Activities available for travelling partners
