5.00am: Early morning muster, otherwise, a few more zzzzs.
6.30am: Up & breakfast his 5 children, read whatever is in his reading basket…AWI report, newspaper, shares mag, Agforce memo, AWAC meeting agenda, wild dogs, kangaroos……….
8am: Work on the property….whatever’s the go on that day…it’s always different…usually with a kid in tow….sheep or cattle work in the yards, checking waters, pulling a bore, fencing, bulldozing, mustering, mechanics…….
12.30pm: Always 12.30pm for a man who likes a routine & catches the ABC radio’s Country Hour.
1.30pm: Back outside to continue what he planned for the day. If there are guests around he loves to share a story or two and show them some of his favourite haunts on Bunginderry Station, his home of 32 years.
6.00pm: Back to homestead to catch up on emails and a few phonecalls, entertain a guest or 10 depending on the artist camp. There’s always the odd job to do…change a gas bottle over, fix a tap…lock up the dogs.
10.00pm: Crash into bed. An active man always sleeps soundly.
